Hello,

I have got so much information from this site but don’t see my specific issue.

I have an ‘02 ltz ext and from what i can tell, when the ac is on there is a loud knocking coming from the power steering pump. I used a long screwdriver to listen around and it is loudest from there. When the ac clutch disengages, the noise goes away. When i turn off ac, the noise goes away. With the radiator cap off and ac on, the fluid is turbulent when it’s knocking. I replaced the power steering pump a couple weeks ago due to same knocking noise. Could improper fluid flush cause knocking?Steering is smooth, ac is cold and no codes.

Thank you for any help

Check your Serpentine belt Tensioner, if it is Loose/ weak, or hard to move, It could cause issues with the belt grabbing the pulleys
