A couple months back i was hit from behind and had to have the lift gate replaced. I noticed after getting the car back the keyless entry no longer worked. Using the forum i discovered thats where the module that controls this is housed. Everything else still works wipers, lock/unlock from door buttons, rear defrost. Only thing not working is the keyless entry. I replaced the key fob batteries with no luck. The shop said they transferred my old module into the new liftgate at the time of repair. Returned the car to the shop do have this diagnosed and they say they dont know why its not working says everything tests fine. They called a dealer and was told it was normal wear and tear on the key fob. I'm finding it hard to believe the key fob stopped working the same time my lift gate was replaced......Any ideas what happened? Does the module need to be reprogrammed because it was disconnected?
