whats the volts look like on the batt.? and also check the bolts on the battery terminals.. see if the neg. or the pos. are loose..
I had that problem and would cause my volts to come waaay down, and also to reset my time but not presets..

Go slower... Time slows down as you approach light speed... Ever seen Planet of the Apes, the original??

In reality, probably something hinky in the KAP (keep-alive power) wire/connection...

I noticed when I pulled the neg battery cable on mine to clean the TB, I lost the time on my HU, but not the station presets or any other settings.

Searched and came across this thread.
I was out of the country the last 2 weeks so my Envoy sat undisturbed.
Started it Monday with no problems.
Tuesday cranked slow, to and from work.
Wed it cranked slow, and I noticed the display was set on odometer instead
of instant fuel economy, where I always have it.
Thurs when I inserted the key the seat moved positions, like it was set
on easy exit, which I have disabled, also the display was set on odometer and the time was reset to 12:00 on the radio.
Friday same as Thurs.

Its and 04 with the origional battery, have I lost a cell?
I don't understand why everything loses power but the truck still starts??

I plan to buy a new battery this weekend. I hope it's not a gremlin.

Thanks Guys!

I just replaced my battery this summer in my 04. It seems that 4 to 5 yrs is normal for oem battery. It was cranking slower and slower at startup. I would not be supprised if you had it tested if it was going bad. Mine actually was not bad until the garage left the keys on while doing a alignment but it just would not hold a good charge after that. Even being off and sitting undisturbed just the power the onstar and things used would kill it. After a few days the lghts were dim and it wouldnt even crank I would have it tested at before you are stranded.
