Which one of those two company's has best performance and is the loudest ?

I believe K&N is louder b/c it removes the resonator. Unfortunately, only K&N has posted its dyno results. With that said, I went with Volant as I believe it draws cooler air as compared to the K&N system.

K&N will not give you significant roar, just a little bit. Also, since you are in CA, you might want to do some research since I heard Volant is not legal in CA but I could be wrong. I went with K&N 57 and combined with PCMforless tune and it's a great combo!

K&N kit

I put on a K&N 57 series kit on my 05 Envoy 5.3L and is roars when you put the pedal down

I put the K&N for an 06 TBSS on my 06 Denali, def has a roar when u get into it, but looks like I actually lost some mpg with it and damn does that filter get hot. IDK where it gets air from but I'd call it a hot air intake not a cai.....
