My wife has a 2005 Trailblazer. The stock HU doesn't have controls for XM or a CD changer. Is there anyway that I can get an adapter that has a USB or headphone hook up to play either of these in the truck? I'm not looking to control it with the radio, just play.

If not will a newer stock HU plug right in?

Yes, there is a way, I have the PAC unit in my truck. Make sure you have the band button on the radio. I love it, great addition. Saved me a lot of money than going out and putting in a nice headunit. It only charges "older" model ipods and the first generation Iphone. It does allow you to control it through the radio, but you can also use the connector and control it through the ipod (choose AUX instead of ipod on the headunit). Great investment I would say. I like it.

I have the Sony xploit (I think that's it) cd, USB, and AUX plugs on the front and iPod interface if you use the USB. The sound is 10,000 times better than the stock stereo and I didn't ECM ge new speakers. And another great thing is that when I had the volume turned all the way up on the stock, it's the same volume as 15 on the Sony. This thing gets the mirrors shakin on 30. Best deal under $200!! Highly reccomend. Also When they installed it, since it's slimmer than the stock, they put in a special front with a place to fit the apple iPod wire, 1-2 iPods, and the stereos remote.

there are also wireless plugs that tune into loband radio stations it plugs into the bottom of the ipod product is about 30 bucks at walmart or any electronic stores
