I have seen several people advising that the torque on the 2004 Trailblazer inner tie rod is 30-40 foot pounds all the way up to 74 foot pounds. I am thinking that these advisers are wanting someone to get killed. When i replaced the Duralast inner tie rods on mine i found that they were remachined down 110 thousands off the original of 525 thousands and now they are 415 thousands. I hope and pray this is sufficient to keep them from snapping. Made in Taiwan by Duralast lifetime Autozone. By the way i torqued mine to 80 thousands.
