i have thought bout doing something like that myself cept to mount a dashhawk and my gps in there.. but the touch screen is a nicer option that i could hook up a gps and diagnostics to... hmmm

i can only wish i have the time, patience and skills to do something like that.

There was a guy who posted a pic of his carputer which looked pretty cheap he had a huge desk top hard drive in the cargo area of his TB looked too messy this however is really nice ummm what is it suppose to do exactly?:tiphat break it down barney style please LOL:undecided

The screen is a little too big on the dash seems like it would distract your view, but would be great for a GPS if the size is reduced. The laptop idea is one that I was planning for the future. You can pick up a laptop with a broken display for little of nothing on ebay.

years ago, around 2000. i was really big into the import/compact scene :duh: , but a friend of mine actually installed a carputer in his VW GTI. I forget who it was made by, but it was better than most home computers then. it was all hidden, very nice. just WAY TOO MUCH MONEY. the money invested in the computer was only a fraction of money put into that car. I wasnt a huge fan of the GTI but it had features/mods that just about anyone could find something they liked about it.
