Hi there i was wondering all be it probably not the most eco friendly question. Is there a way to evacuate the r134 from the ac system, with out hooking it up to a machine. The only reason i ask is because i dodn't have the money to get it removed right now. The bearing in my ac compressor is bad and i have a new compressor and i want to replace it any help would be great :)

Thanks Ryan

Once you open the system you must pull a vacuum prior to the new 134A + Oil. It also would pay to replace the dryer/receiver as well.

Call around. There may be a shop that will evacuate your system for little or no money if they get to keep the freon.:m2:
