I have a 2002 trailblazer, the outboard bearing of the front axle disconnect was trashed causing the front cv axle to flop around, ( first Question, how did this happen?) anyway, I replaced the bearing and seal and i bought a new cv axle and replaced it, shortly after that it made quite the rattling noise on the freeway and turned out that the cv axle actually seized somehow and actually broke the "bell" shaped bearing housing on the axle disconnect, which was stuck on the axle end, I bought and replaced the axle disconnect and since putting it all back together I have checked it a couple of times and the passenger side ( new parts) gets really hot at the end of the cv axle where it goes into the disconnect, the driver side is cool to touch, what the heck is going on?
