okay, after looking through the forum the past couple of days, i once again became confused. I am seeing a lot of stuff about a DRL killer and a DRL module. I am either thinking about getting a Killer from TBLAZED or a module from V-led.com...is there any difference between the 2?
big difference between the 2 the DRL killer will make it so your DRL's don't run during the day The DRL module will make your HID's work as DRL by running 100% power to them during the day. I chose for the module but most get the killer; but they do both solve the problems of the DRL's on our trucks killing HID's:yes:

wow that helps a ton, thanks ssmedt! but you said you have the module, and i am wondering how long your HID bulbs last with DRL enabled?
well; i am going on probably 6-8 months now with no problems yet. i figure the bulbs have an 18 month warranty; and if they last that long i am happy with that; the reason that i went with the module is because the killer makes it so that the front lights don't work with the perimeter light feature at night and i did not want to loose that feature

by light output do you mean brightness? if so then no; with the killer what you loose is the DRL and the low beams staying on at night when you hit unlock at night; see the lights staying on with unlock (peremiter lighting) operates at the same power as the DRL's and will cause your HID's to flicker over time. The module just increase the power to 100 percent which is needed to power the ballist to power the bulb. the killer is basically 0% power for the DRL's

let us know if your are still confused in any way:thumbsup:

thank you very much for the help, i plan on getting a drl module from v-led and 6k for the lows and fogs from vvme. much thanks to everyone that pitched in to help a very unknowledgeable HID illiterate man...:bonk:
cool; and let us know if you need any help during the install; also when ordering from vvme make sure you order the relay harness; i don't believe they automatically ship the relay harness with the kit and it is very very recomended to use the relay harness
