Got my HID 6k Fog kit from vvme yesterday so I immediately went to install them. Had some issues getting the bulbs to fit tightly in the fog housing but all is good.

Turned the power on and snapped this pic:

Later that evening, i went to take it for a ride to try them out and the driver's side fog light will not come on.

I climbed under the car checked all the connections, switched the connectors to make sure the polarity was correct, still nothing. :sadcry:

Please help!

Even after it worked initially?

I also thought of the fuse, does anyone know where and/or which fuse to check for the Fogs?

Are they on separate fuses like the headlights?

I think it's fuse #11, but check your owners manual to be sure (all the fuse assignments are listed there :coffee) Do you have a meter? Next thing I would try is checking for voltage in front of, and coming out of the ballast. :m2:

yea if it was a fuse, both your fogs would be out. That just happened to my SS yesturday.. both fogs quit working..checked the fuse under the hood..sure enough, it was blown..don't know why or how..but replaced it with a new fuse and all has been well...

Thank you all for your help.
This evening I will check all of the following:

Fuse
Ballasts
Bulb
I'll even put the halogen back in to make sure the wiring still works.

I'll report my findings back.

:thx

Finally had time to troubleshoot between the rain.

1st. I put the halogen back in to confirm the power connection
2nd. Moved Ballast to working side - no light :undecided
3rd. connected other bulb to working side with working ballast. Light!

In conclusion I determined I got a bad ballast.

Already contacted vvme for a replacement.

Anyone ever deal with this?

I haven't myself, but it's not uncommon to get a bad ballast out of the box. I've seen a number of threads on that here on the site.
