Hello

First of all, I installed only one stereo in my life, about 10 years ago... cassette stereo :D, which was straight forward.
The GM stereo/system making it much harder than it should be, now lost and confused with all the wires and which adapter to use.

I've been trying all day to find a clear/detailed installation instruction to connect my new HU Pioneer avh-p3000dvd, but no luck.

I have the 70-2003 adapter i think, and Scosche DCGM09 adapter.
03 TB EXT LT non-star/Bose.

Do i need to use both adapters (harness adapter + interface)?

I don't care about the chimes and other stuff, but i heard it might cause other problems if installed without the adapter/interface.

The wiring instructions from Pioneer and Scosche are not useful at all. I tried making all the connections, but still have some wires left if using 70-2003. The interface adapter has only few wires, so i am assuming it should be used with the other one.

I know it's a burden, but if any one can tell me how to do it in plain english will really appreciate it. Just the things that i won't be able to figure out DEPENDING on the adapter(s) that i should use... acc wire, parking brake, reverse, and others that won't be connected to the harness. Where should i connect them, and how.

Please help me out, the truck is naked inside, and can't use it unless i put everything back.

Thanks a bundle.

Have you gotten anywhere? How did you make out? I have to wait till I get a replacement interface. What kind of unit did u ourchase. Anything like mine?

I had the adapter (Scosche DCGM09) and the wire harness 70-2003. I wasn't sure if need to use both at the same time, but you only need one of them. It seems like there are many interface adapters in the market, and all you need to know is which is right for you. I picked the cheapest, which not many people recommended, due to possible failing for some reason.
I have Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD, and i put Infinity 3-way speakers -->:thumbsup:

Let me know if you need any help, although i am struggling myself i might be able to help.

Roadie --> that looks scary

Hi! Usually the INSIDE of the Roadiemobile is the least scary thing around. I used to live in Beaverton on 155th just south of Hart. Comrade!
Yeah i bet, i wish i could make our TB look the same... my wife will :bonk:
Were you here in Beaverton for work?
I like that area, i live near by costco, closer to max for commuting. You should drop by if you are planning a trip to the city or on the way.
Thanks for the great efforts.
