i was out of fuel but after refueling the car i tried to start it but there was no answer from the engine !! what to do ? thanx

This is just a shot in the dark,, but try disconecting
the positive terminal from the battery for 1 minute.
then connect again and give it a shot..

If you mean the engine won't start but it DOES crank - yes try the battery trick. It may also be a coincidentally blown fuel pump fuse or many others.

If it fails to crank, but the lights come on and the battery gauge reads 12V or so, you might have a bad ignition switch. It's a high failure rate item, and easily available cheaply at the parts stores.

When it ran out of fuel, did you run the battery down? Were there any other bad things happening that caused you to run out of fuel? I never understood how that was possible unless you had a broken fuel gauge AND odometer at the same time.

no there is no problem in the engine its just a bad way to calcualte fuel mileage ,but before when i start the engine i used to hear asound like zzzzzzz and now its just disappear
p.s its cranking

could be a bad fuel pump fuse...
OR if you ran it out of gas the pump could have over heated
causeing it to burn up..
Check the fusey thingy first..
