Hi all,

I pulled out the stock stereo in my 02 Trailblazer today to replace it with an aftermarket unit. It was going to take longer than I thought so I just left the stereo out, put the dash back in and planned on finishing the job tomorrow. I reconnected the battery after I was finished and fired her up.

Everything seems OK, except the hazard lights come on and won't switch off when the ignition is on. I tried shutting her off, plugging the original stereo back in and starting her up again, but to no avail. Stereo is working fine, 4WD selection is OK, headlight controls are working as expected and engine sounds fine so far. Has anyone encountered this before? Is this just a matter of having to relearn the passkey for the security system?

I'm wondering if there might be a loose connection somewhere behind the dash that might be the source of the problem, but if someone has seen this before and knows how to fix it, any advice would be appreciated!
