Yeah, basically they won't be GM dealers anymore. Chrysler notified 780 some yesterday. While this sucks and is unfortunate, it had to happen. For years now Ford has consolidated Ford Lincoln and Mercury into sortof mega dealerships, and Chrysler has done the same with Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and the former Plymouth, yet in the town i live in alone there's 3 GM dealers. Thats alot of unnecessary overhead, etc. We have a very large, decent Chevy dealer, a Buick/Pontiac dealer that will be pretty pointless without Pontiac, and an absolutely tiny GMC Cadillac dealer that only has enough room for like 10 cars outside and one in their tiny building. GM wants fewer, larger, state of the art, profitable dealerships
