I have a 2004 4x2 Trailblazer LS with 220k miles well maintained. One of the calipers were leaking so I decided to change all of them since they were never changed. I changed all four calipers and now my gas gauge always reads empty and the ABS light stays on. They were working perfectly fine hours before. What gives? Could the new calipers have broken the ABS module? Is this like a security feature?

Yes, the dealer said the only codes found had to do with the throttle body (just needs to be cleaned out) but nothing for the abs.

I disconnected the abs fuse and the gas gauge started working again and then I put the fuse back in and the gauge stopped working. I am still confused as to how the abs fuse is controlling the gas gauge
