Just a simple FYI,
I was at the start of the summer detailing season and at one point I realized that the bottom door rubber strip popped off and subsequently found a tonne of road dirt under said rubber trim.
Maybe the majority of members here already knew this, but it was quite a revelation to me..:duh:
Cheers

I am referring to the rubber (round) trim at the bottom of the all the doors.
They were *filled* with road dirt and salt.. and other nasty stuff. I had to use rim cleaner to dissolve it and wipe it away..

I cut that trim a bit....

That rounded rubber trim blocks the weep holes and prevents the water from draining out of the doors. I wonder if the genius GM engineers know about this??

I put blue tape over the holes and around to the front of the doors. I then shut the doors and transferred the marks to the lower rocker panels so I could see exactly where the holes line up on the trim. I then removed a small bit of the trim so the water from inside the doors could drain out.
