My son jump the TB at the fuse box under the hood and seems to have fried the fuse box under the rear seat--heavy burn smell and the fuse for the left windows melted. So... many things don't work--rear wipers, radio, A/C etc. Trying to remove the entire unit to replace it but I can't seem to figure out how to remove it. Any thought?

Sad story. Sounds like he had the polarity reversed as well as the wrong jump points. You might have fried the BCM (Body Control Module) that's next to the rear fuse block as well. Edit: He might have also blown the Megafuse in the front fuse block that feeds the rear.

I think from this drawing that it's held in by molded-on plastic snap clips, but I've never taken mine out personally.

the three screws that are on spacers in between the fuses hold the connectors in. unscrew them and push them down to release the connectors. good luck sounds like you've got your work cut out for you.
