I have a '04 Trailblazer with 69k miles. The front pinion seal is more than weeping. It is wet but not to the point it is dripping. the dealer agreed to replace it under the used car warranty.:) Unfortunately it is a Acura/Subaru stealer.:( Took it in on Sat. to have it done. Was told several hours later that they couldn't do it because they needed a special tool and I would have to take it to one of their Chev. dealers. My questions are: Has anyone done a front pinion seal replacement on a GM360? Were there any special tools needed? If you have done it what was the procedure/specs.? I have a feeling they are pulling my chain about the special tool and the tech just didn't want to do it so he said to send me to their Chev. stealership. If its a fairly easy thing to accomplish I may just do it on my own instead of wasting more time with the stealership. Any help and thoughts on the matter would be greatly appreciated.:thx
