Has anyone thought about,heard of or even using a flex fan of the same diameter in place of the factory plastic fan while still using the fan clutch assembly.Can they work or would the not pull enough air at low rpm,s due to the difference in the blade count. The ones I have seen on the flex-a-lite web site seem to only flex at a higher rpm and should cause less drag IDK any thoughts on this since nobody seems to make a plug and play e-fan kit.

I'm having failed fan clutch symptoms again at 246000 miles. I'm considering a Flex A Lite fan and dumping the clutch all together. I realize there will be more noise and maybe less mileage, but at this mileage level, that's the last of my concerns.

Anyone know what the fan diameter is on the V8 equipped models?
