Great forum. I in the market for a 07-09 TBSS. I have a few questions that someone with more knowlede than I hopefully can answer.

I want an AWD model for towing.
Questions are;
1. OF the 3 years listed above, which is the better year?
2. Were improvements made to make one year better than another?
3. Where can I find a list of available options for these years?
4. Will the factory warranties of 100k for the drivetrain and the 48k bumper to bumper stay in effect whether I purchase from a dealer or private party?

Thats all for now. Thanks

:iagree:Welcome to the site and I would assume newer to be better but I have an 05 and am happy with it, but if I could have afforded an 07-09 I would have bought one!:tiphat As far as towing they are pretty good at that too!

Welcome to the site.:tiphat
I'm not aware of any changes (other than color options) through the years. You have two trim levels...1SS and 3SS. 1SS has cloth seats, manual climate control and no steering wheel controls (DIC function and radio control). However, DIC function can be added to the 1SS with instructions which can be found on this site. The 3SS has a few variations, but I don't know exactly what is standard and what is an option. You will usually find leather, auto climate, upgraded stereo and nav system.
I purchased mine (which is a 1SS) used with 20,500 miles. I have enjoyed 27,000 trouble-free miles myself. If you do buy used, make sure you get a certified gm used vehicle which I believe you can only get from a dealer. (but don't quote me on that)

Good luck with your search.
And when you do find one, make sure you fill in your profile in the User CP so everyone will know what you're sporting.:D

TBSS was built from 2006 to 2009. Here is a link from last year that tell you the differences:

http://www.ss-shootout.com/differences.html

I'm not sure what was new to the 09 model. I looked at one and it was minimal.

Welcome & good luck in your search!

More sites to look at! Not promoting any of them just helping in your research! They all provide good info.

2007 is the first year with the 5yr/100k powertrain warranty.

In 2008 the chrome door handles (inside) were replaced with cheaper looking black plastic handles. Supposedly very earlly 2008's have the chrome. One new color in 2008 (Black Granite Metallic). Side airbags became standard in 08. 2008 is rated at 390HP, where 2006/2007 is 395hp (non ECM controlled fan setup for 2008 - torque remains the same 400).

I'd go with a low mileage (under 20k) 2007 AWD 3SS with sunroof if I were you. You get the extra warranty and couple years of depreciation. You should be able to get one in the low 20's. If you can't, you my as well get a 2006 Jeep SRT8 for mid 20's but you can't really tow with the Jeep, but it's sure fast and pretty! :)

I have an '06 TBSS. The 1SS and 3SS did not start until 2007 when the SS became it's own model. If you look at a window sticker of a 2006 TBSS you will notice that the SS was an option package (about $5600). The sticker will say at the top that the Trailblazer is an LS or LT, The LS was the base model. Kinda cool info.
