I have the factory 6-disc changer head unit no navigation and would like to upgrade speakers. I think the speakers in the front doors provide the low "sub like" frequencies. has anyone replaced the front and the rear door speakers. I have an xl and would like to add sound for the 3rd row. any options?

thanks

Mike:)

Well, here's your issue.
If, as I suspect, you have a Bose system, the speakers have a rather odd frequency response pattern, to match the rest of the system. The OEM Bose speakers are meant to be amplified by the OEM Bose amp Alas, it's a response pattern they refuse to publish, at Bose. thereby, it's not easy to come up with speakers that will work well with it.

Further, I assume, though nobody knows, that the odd response also means an odd impedence pattern in the spakers, as well, for a given frequnecy, and again, the amp is tuned for it.

If you're not running a Bose system, well, tell me to go sit in the corner.
