Product Automotive lighting Font Input device Screenshot
Hi,

I wanted to replace my key and separate fob with a AliExpress one-in-all key.

I searched and found and ordered this one. I got the new key to a locksmith. When I insert my new key there's a security-light that won't turn off (car with a lock).

So I assume there's a chip in the key itself, wenn I hold the old one next to the ignition when inserting the new one the car starts, without it won't.

I found a learning routine, but it doesn't work (after 13min the logo didn't leave, so I didn't proceed). Maybe my chinese key doesn't have it in the main body.

I also couldn't program the fob. No problem with the old key, when pressing both buttons on the new one nothing happens.

1) Do the german cars have a different fob frequency?
2) does programing only work when the key was learnt by the car?

Maybe my new key doesn't have the necessary chip??

Thank you all in advance!
Ric.

Ok, with a lot of reading end the right search words: I have a chipped pk3+ key. I need a fitting blanket.
I assume I also have another FCC id / fob frequency which I don't know.

For now, the flip key idea ends here.
