I installed the Transgo 4L60e-HD2 kit and vette servo this weekend -- took a lot longer than I expected, so I didn't get around to adding the B&M trans cooler.

What's the best way to get access to the front of the rad to mount the cooler?

While on the lift, I can't see up to the rad front -- wondering if that lower crossmember comes off or if there is a recommended access to that area.

Thanks in advance,
Iz

(crap, didn't realize I was in the SS forum, can't seem to delete)

Have you tried just removing the grill? It should just pull off.

haven't pulled the grille yet -- mine already has a crack in the bottom, didn't want to risk destroying it if I didn't have to

Looking down from the top of the grill, you can see the clips (One on each side) that hold the grill on .They are just pushed in. Using a wide stiff putty knife or screwdriver, you should be able to pry off the grill. Just be gentle Don't go all gorilla on it. Tilt the grill away from the truck a little bit and it should lift out. If you have the headlight washers, you will also have to disconnect the hose. Good luck.
