BTW, show me any vehicle that comes with REAL wood in it that doesn't cost at least 75K on up or more. Probably much more.
Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. Ever since 05 they have come with real wood interior. Go below it (Limited) it has fake wood, the Laredo has honeycomb metal, and the SRT8 has brushed steel.

I know my Jeeps, but I can't wait to get rid of mine and get the SS. Its just a matter of getting the money to do it...

But as far as GM goes... lol, I don't even think the Escalades have real wood in them.

I'm genuinely surprised. I didn't think it was really done anymore except on more exotics. How much does one of those cost anyway?

as the owner of an SS i agree about the interior. I like the layout of the controls better than the denali, but the matte black of the dash left me wanting a little more flash. Found a dash overlay kit in a carbon fiber finish from Woodview and boy does it pump up the interior flash of the SS. If the carbon fiber isn't for you (sport truck, don't know why not) there are other finishes available. Will be attempting to post pictures soon of the interior mods.

Is your dash kit made of plastic and held on with 3M tape, or is it a bunch of vinyl stickers?

I agree with everything you said, except that the LS2 is the "current" vette motor (05-07), not former. ;)
Haha, actually, it is former. ;)

The LS2 has been replaced with the 6.2L LS3. The 2008 BASE Corvette is quite the monster according to the reviews.

436 hp, 428 lbft of torque, 0 - 60 in 4.1 seconds and a 12.5 second 1/4 mile for a base price of 45,995.

the dash overlay that I used was plastic (nice carbon fiber simulation though) and completely covers the areas that it is made for. Not just vinyl stickers that lay on top of the dash.
