Discontinued AC hose/tube?

340 Views 14 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  chem_man
HELP, I am looking for part 19213212, which I think is the A/C evaporator tube or hose. It's discontinued and I can't find one anywhere. Anyone know if you can get them made or where I might be able to find one?

THANKS!!!!
Have you checked at Rock Auto?
yes they don't have it.
They actually don't have it :-(
So it's time to visit the junkyard
LOL Looks that way!

I'm sorry. That site is becoming increasingly unreliable.

No worries, I appreciate you looking.
So it turns out the gasket is what was leaking not the hose... I hate people that don't take the time to diagnose stuff and just want to throw parts at it. Do you all happen to know the torque spec on the two nuts?
I do not know the torque spec, but I do recommend you use some Nylog Blue to lubricate the new seal and the threads rather than using compressor oil.

While pricey, the stuff is amazing!

Would it seal any small leak around the gasket if there was one?

Here are my old o-rings. GM P/N 52474373.
Don't ask me why I didn't throw them out. Use new seals and you'll be fine.
Nut tightening torque 28 N·m - 21 lb ft

It should as long as it is small. Nylog is extremely viscous and helps to seal any of the minor imperfections present.
