I tried installing my factory deck from my 02 TB into an 05 impala today. All the factory wires fit perfect but when i went to power it up it was on for a few seconds then went into LOCKED mode. Anyone know how to unlock it?? I've tried searching around the net and only found on method. But unfortunately it doesnt work. Any ideas?, Besides going to the dealer??

Pretty sure it takes a tech II to unlock it.

I'm pretty sure it's gonna take a little more than that. :bonk:

It probably thinks it's been stolen and locked itself. You're probably going to have to hit a dealership.

The VIN code that's stored in the radio must match the vehicle VIN.

When you get it unlocked, you may have a compatibility problem. I think the data bus on trailvoy is different than the impala bus.

ahhhh damn. That would suck if it doesnt work. I'm gonna swing by my audio guy and see what he says. thanks for the help guys.
