About a month ago I decided to finally buy a set of nerf bars for the Envoy. I have bought a ton of stuff from Ebay and have never had a bad experience with any seller, until now. I bought a set of Stainless nerf bars from Deals of Steel paid for them the same day and a month later have never received them. I sent multiple messages with no reply, opened a pay-pal dispute, they never responded to that. Pay-pal was only able to recover a partial amount of my funds. Understandably it's only a few hundred bucks I lost, but I'm still pissed and if I lived in CA I would be kicking down someone's door.

I would advise against purchasing from them. The chance doesn't seem worth it.

and thats a lot of info roadie, is the department of homeland security taking applications?
Hehe. I used to track spammers down to their day jobs for fun and profit. Just knowing where to Google.

A bozo tried to cheat one of our members out of $80 recently - in 15 minutes starting just with his screenname, I had his Myspace page, real name, day job, occupation, and an alternate email address. And I guessed his day job's email address, which didn't bounce.

The debt was paid on Sunday night before we could have a "conversation" on Monday at his work. :coffee

We did something like this a few years ago on fbody.com to a guy named Eric Gasper. We still refer to it as the Gasper treatment. The kid got phone calls every few minutes pizzas and things delivered to him. Not to mention all the gay porn etc. It was pretty funny.

Don't call him just yet. Have a courier have deliver a letter outlining you situation, demanding a call back. You will catch his attention being that he knows that you know where he is.

LOL thats awesome. Personally I would terrorize this guy with as many COD things as i could find. If he won't give you the money back order him a lifetime supply of Extenze,Snuggies, and Chia Pets. That might teach him to play with other peoples hard earned money. Nice work

If you paid through paypal, they will get your money back. I had to do that once. An ipod scam. Pay pal gave me the total amount.
If you paid by credit card, File a claim with them, They should start an investigation and refund you your $.

If you know a lawyer, have them draw up a letter casually suggesting that they refund your money. . . or else.

You are also seeing why I despise PAYPAL. Paypal themselves are crooks.
If you paid these dude directly with your credit card you would have that money back, but because paypal plays the middle man you only get what paypal wants to give you. AKA what the person had in their paypal account.
paypal tried this bs with me once but I was the seller, they tried to tell me the person used a stolen or unauthorized credit card and they were taking the money back out of my account..........even though the person already got my item because paypal told me the person was VERIFIED aka 100% safe.
Well paypal got a big wake up call because I was already onto how paypal scams people and I had zero'd out my account before they could do anything and after they gave me "their bad news" that they were taking the money back I went to my bank and had my account that I STUPIDLY linked to paypal closed.
You still have the option to raise a dispute with your credit card company HOWEVER if you dare to do that paypal will close out your account and lock you out of ever using it again. which means you are locked out of using ebay.

See how the paypal scam unfolds? Quite interesting how ebay ONLY uses paypal now, and they passed rules that you can ONLY pay with paypal.

This is a bad idea for a couple of reasons.

1) It reduces you to the criminal's level.

2) It victimizes innocent companies who have nothing to do with the fight.

Good to fantasize about but not to execute. Please everybody don't do this.

Yeah you have a good point Roadie no need for more trouble, but how nice would it be to see his face when he recieves a 5 gallon bucket full of "Male enhancement" pills and a bill for them. Try explaining that one to the friends and family. But your right, an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

I have ordered from this company once a couple years ago. the only problem I have was the box the part came in looked like it was dragged behind a car for an hour before it was shipped(inside was packed pretty tight, so there was no damage to the part) I sent him an e-mail about the box being destroyed, and never got a response.
