I was changing the shocks out in my 05 and seem to have damaged the threads on the lower control arm mounting point. What would be the best way to fix this so I can get things buttoned up? Is it possible to rethread the bolt or can this bushing be replaced? I believe I found the bushing but haven't been able to find any information on how to replace it. Here is a link to the bushing 2002-2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer Control Arm Bushing - Suspension - Moog, Front Lower Outer 02-09 Trailblazer Control Arm Bushing - 3689-07113378 - PartsGeek

For anyone interested I was able to get a tap and die set and rethread the bolt and everything is going smoothly.

good to hear, as this bushing is available for a decent price. I replaced my lower balljoints only to discover afterwords that the strut mount bushing is loose.(possibly damaged when replacing the front strut assembly)

plan to replace lower control arms and support brackets upcoming.
