Okay, the Xpresskit XK01 supports a metric buttload of features through the D2D interface. Has anyone here actually installed the XK01 using the D2D interface?

I'm going to be installing a Viper 5901 and the XK01 in the next couple of weeks. The D2D connection will reduce my install to 11 or 12 wires total, including the remote start harness.

The main reason I want to use D2D is because of the additional remote start inputs and accessory outputs. The XK01 is supposed to supply tach and brake status, and activate rear defroster/heated mirrors through the OBD II connection.

Does anyone here have any experience using the D2D connections, and will it supply the inputs and accessory outputs on the Trailblazer? If you have installed using the D2D, what features are supported and what isn't?

I used the D2D link with the XK01 module and Viper's 5301 remote start; this past weekend on my truck. The only additional wires that you will need to install on the XK01 module when using the D2D Link are the Data Bus Link input wire and the dome light supervision (+/-) input wire. The rest of the wiring is made with the Viper remote start harnesses. Here's what I connected to make the system work. (Remember to program the XK01 module and the Viper Module before attempting to start. My Viper System required me to change the transmission mode from manual (factory setting) to automatic. Also, remember to preform the Tach Learning.)

H1-1 RED/WHITE Trunk release output XK01
H1-2 RED 12v constant RED IGN HARNESS
H1-3 BROWN Horn output BLK/YLW IGN HARNESS
H1-4 WHITE/BR Light flash isolation wire N/A

Hi thanks for posting, made my install go quickly. Few issues im having thou...

I cant seem to get the rear hatch glass to pop open and also if I leave my heat or A/C on shouldn't it come on when I remote start the truck? Just wondering if yours worked with the above set-up or is there something else I need to do or did I miss something.. haha.. any help appreciated.

H3-3 ORANGE Accessory output ORANGE/BROWN IGN HARNESS

The problem may be that on my 2006 TB there is no Orange/Brown.. There is a Orange and a Brown. Neither one of these seem to work by themselves.

I see on the TB wire diagram that They both need to be used for Remote start.. can anyone clear this up for me?

ok.. H3 - 8 Red / Black needs to be hooked up to 12v, that powers the accessorys.. like the HVAC.

I still have a issue with check engine light coming on with remote start thou... I am also only using the orange wire as people state brown is not needed from ignition.

anyone....

Hey Green Monster, would you (or anyone else for that matter) have a manual that shows where each of these wires are? I'm thinking of installing a Viper 5901 (or 5902 when it comes out) in my '05 Rainier (I6/2WD) but need to know where to find these wires.
