I know you cannot diagnose over internet. I'm just looking for some ideas of what to check as to why my a/c compressor isn't kicking on. I know it works...just randomly. It has worked a handful of times in a year and a half (when the compressor will kick on). When it does come on, it gets really cold. Anyway, I have a 2005 trailblazer LS with a 4.2L vortec engine. It has been throwing a code for the thermostat/temperature sensor. I'll be changing those soon but it was working randomly prior to those codes.

Any other information needed from me to help?

Thanks! :)

confirm proper charge with gauges first. Next test the low pressure switch on the accumulator by using a jumper wire. If compressor turns on when switch is jumped then its a bad LP switch. Check these first then get back to us. HTH c good
