I'm not sure of the years that are the same. However to switch a PCM between trucks won't work. Well it is possible but, every time you change it it has to have the VIN changed to which ever truck you are putting it into. Just reread your post. If the year and model are the same, the PCM still needs to have the VIN changed to what ever the VIN is on the new truck.
One other consideration -- you won't just be able to swap the PCM back and forth at will. If you are going to leave it in the other vehicle, it will be okay eventually, but it takes a while to learn the new map and tune your setup specifically -- like somewhere near 500 miles of driving -- or at least that's what mine took after having the power disconnected for a while.
Just get another tune... They're not that much money. :thumbsup:
