Hey everyone, I'm getting a used 2007 SS tomorrow. I noticed that under the rear seat there was a bracket that had what seemed to be speaker wires coming out from the floor. I think there was a bose amp that is not there. Can someone please tell me what type of amp I need. (if that is whats missing) When the radio comes on it says bose. When I pick it up tomorrow, ill have a better look. :undecided

Which side of the seat? The Bose amp is mounted under the Right rear panel, in the cargo area... Maybe you're referring to the rear fuse block?

If it is on the passenger side it would be the Onstar

It is on the passenger side. Any idea why it was removed? I dont plan on getting the Onstar system. Should I look into a replacement?

if your not going to use the Onstar there is really no point in replacing. I have no Idea why it was taken out however I know that some people that are involved in less than legal activities are sometimes paranoid about people being able to listen to conversations.

The dealer told me that it was a stolen recovered SS. They may have ripped it out.

My vehicle did NOT come with OnStar from the factory, but the wiring is still there, and there is a green plug under the passenger seat, ready to be plugged into the OnStar module.

I believe GM built all TBs as OnStar-capable from a wiring standpoint, although not all got the module.
