Ive read some things here, i have white painted screws in mine. Really not happy still. Is there ANYTHING someone has used that is basically flush? Or very close to it? Even if its some kind of screw I can order online only. I want to get rid of the hideous screws that are on it now.. thanx!

yeah i plan on taking my rack off and using set screws in them this weekend.

I'm trying to find a stainless steel set screw but i can't find em, so I'm just gonna use touch up paint if it goes to rust.

I ended using some m6x20 threaded screws.......I set them flush...looks much better than using the original bolts that hold the rack in place......

:iagree: Ghoster's solution looks the cleanest. the only other option is grinding down the studs, filling the voids with bondo and sanding/repainting.

I am bringing this back from the dead...

So I was told perhaps this might work. Not sure if it will be effective but this is what a bodyshop guy said:

-Hammer stud gently until it sinks in with the roof surface around it.
-Fill with Bondo, enough to make the surface looks evenly flat again
-Sand and smooth
-Paint to match

Does this make sense at all? I highly doubt this...
