Just installed a Kenwood dnx5140 into my 2005 Envoy slt with bose and noticed some slight static/interference in the audio while playing a cd/ipod. would this be due to the rms output of the head unit (22 watts) compared to what i was used to hearing on the factory bose model? would an amp fix the problem and if so what kind of amp would you suggest?

Gavinvoy: what would be the easiest way of checking if it was a ground or not?

Culzero: negative on bypassing the bose amp. how would i go about doing that?
