has anyone added hood light? Mine doesnt have one and it be useful. Any Led projects to do one?

I havent yet.. but I did order a bunch of white LED modules from Oznium to put all around the engine bay running off a hood-pin switch

how do you plan to install the hood pin?

this could be an interesting project.....

I've been meaning to do something like this...

And as for the Hood Pin Switch...

when the hood is closed, the pin is pushed down, and the tab at the bottom is no longer in contact with the shroud, therefore, no ground.... when hood is up, the pin comes up and the tab contacts the shroud and has ground... you would wire this in line with the ground for a relay or for the lights themselves... I prefer a relay

yep thats it... mounted it from an existing hole in front of the wiper cowl on the drivers side

I have to rewire mine. Wind grabbed my hood. Put a couple nice dents in it and ripped the wires out of the light. Haven't gotten around to fixing yet.

Mine came stock with one in there already :raspberry.Honestly I don't even use it, have it unplugged at the moment. Got one in glove box too, from what I understand the wiring is already there on some for one under the hood.

I added a glove box light previously.. pretty simple.. came from an 02 Bravada...

as for the underhood light or lights I should say.. is gonna consist of 4 white LED modules situated around the engine bay to pretty much flood the bay with light

damn LEDs havent arrived yet :hissy:

Anybody have the part numbers for the stock glove box and underhood lights? I'd love to add both to mine at some point. Thanks.
