I have my car at the shop today for brakes and rotors all the way around. I overheard the mechanic say that all 4 of my rotors were the same size. Is that normal or did the previous owner rig it in some way???

I'm not sure if the size (diameter) is the same, but they are not interchangeable as the rear rotors have the emergency brake mechanism inside the rotor's hub area.

It sounds like the comment from the mechanic was just part of the conversation and I would not give it another thought unless the repair shop follows up with you regarding an issue with completing your brake job.
