I'm looking at buying a Trailblazer, Envoy or Rainier without the factory navigation. My question is what is involved in installing the factory navigation system? Does it matter which radio the vehicle comes with? Does it matter if it has onstar or not? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I would just go aftermarket. I hated the one in the first 06 Denali I had. Find a TV with the system and see if you like it first.

Easier to add factory NAV if the intended truck already has Bose. Different year TVs have different head unit requirements. You can also search here on the forum, as this has been discussed in detail in other threads.
