I am not sure why he would just insulate that part of the line. Maybe I am not understanding the whole story, but wouldn't it make more sense just to replace the whole line, or is that not possible?
Good call, as long as he is going to replace the whole line, and then cover it up with that insulator, I would tell him to start, BUT make sure you clarify that he is going to replace the whole line, you know sometimes those dealerships don't listen!
