Ac pulley bypass belt GMC envoy sle xl. Help

I put the smaller belt which bypasses the Ac pulley and it works, but it squeals all the time very loud, not sure if its cause I bought the cheaper belt or what's the deal. Any help would be appreciated. Maybe smaller belt?

Firestone said this wouldn't work. True or false

Is it possible to use a smaller belt on my 2006 Envoy and bypass the AC? I was told by Firestone that it would not.

I just want to get a few more months out of the car while I look for something new.

Short wheelbase Envoy with 4.2 I6. shorter belt part number 705K6 worked fine for my application. routing matches schematic described in previous posting. no noises or squeals. a/c compressor bypassed due to failure (bearing and internals started to seize up). could have driven it indefinitely with shorter belt, but due to 90F deg temps, decided to have compressor replaced.

I also had to use a short belt because my A / C compressor bearing needs to be replaced.
I installed it bypassing the idler pulley as in the first picture. I used ACDelco 6K705 belt it has length 70.57 inches (1792mm) This really works guys. (y)

Thanks for the info. & belt part# (y)

My A/C & compressor is still working ok for now, But that compressor bearing is starting to make some noise.
It probably won't be too long before the bearing does go bad? I'm thinking of just bypassing the AC compressor so the bearing don't go out while I'm out on the road.

Any luck replacing the compressor bearing?
