There is a plastic cover over the air intake that appears to be only held on by some clips. Can not determine how to release these clips. Cover is now slightly cracked trying to release. Please help

Thanks

I think it has clips, glue and may not come off. Why do you want to access the fuel rail?

Answer to rober1101

Hi
Thanks for the reply. We has cylinder 6 misfiring everytime. We have checked plug and coil and both work fine( put both in 5 cylinder and 6 still misfired everytime.) We now want to check and or change fuel injector. Need to remove intake to get to fuel rail. We have removed 4 bolts and it still seems attached so am assuming there are bolts under this cover. Do you know how many bolts there are. Item #7 on your schematic

thanks

Intake now off

Robert1101

Thanks for the help. We finally got it. There are 10 Bolts holding intake on. Not easy to find or get to. Couldn't have done it without your help. That outer plastic cover does not need to come off. Lots of stuff in the way though. Have a great day

You still might want to do a compresson check prior to pulling the fuel rail.
