I got to start my Trailblazer and the ignition switch will not move at all, i.e. change positions. The gear shift is also locked into place. I replaced the ignition switch and nothing changed. Can I get some help please?

It sounds like the ignition lock cylinder is frozen. You might have to replace it.

With the ignition switch being in the off position, the gear shift will not move. Once the ignition switch issue is resolved, the gear shift will probably work again.

no, the trailblazers have no steering lock. if the ignition is locked there is a button on it to depress for release, but you'd need take cover off first or use long thin screwdriver into the hole on bottom of cover. there is a button for shifter release, too, on the passenger side. both are a pain to get to, but they are there.
