What is the advantage of the 160 thermostat? What is stock? What did the factory not use the 160?

The reason I think would be "EMISSIONS," cooler engine will theoretically give you a few extra ponies... stock I think might be 192, but I am not sure...

Stock V8 is 192F, well close to it as they run right around that temp. 160F is pretty cold unless you've got some serious mods, Id go 180F first.
