Anyone running a cooler thermostat in thier SS? Seen one on E-bay, it was made by SLP. Im sure this will help keep the LS2 running cool for the summer months while making more power:)

The computer will set codes. It needs to see 195-205* to make everything work correctly.

No It Won't

Why do people think stock is fine. Explain recalls then! A cooler thermostat will NOT set a code I run a 160 thermostat and all it does is make the engine run cooler. I also own a 2014 Denali with 6.2 with 160 thermostat NO issues except cooler running engine. Chevy was so smart they actually put a thermostat in the transmission cooling system of my Denali so it would always run 200. I gutted that and added an external cooler, 20k miles and no issues, and NO code.
