Hey everyone, I was installing a power amp for a subwoofer today in a 2003 Trailblzer LS. Im using the stock radio and the only problem i ran into was finding a place for the remote turn on wire. Cant use the cigarette lighters because they are always on. Is there another 12v pick up that turns on and off with the ignition that i can splice into anywhere, or does anyone know of a better way to go about doing this?

What a great newbie question.
There's the rear fuse box under the the rear drivers side seat, some of the fuses are on a accessory circuit : HVAC ,IGN, sunroof, wipers, ect... get an add-a-fuse and tap one. the acc fuses maybe different on other years.

Thanks for the link..I actually tried doing that with the fuse and it didnt turn the amp off with the ignition.

Right, you want a fuse that stays on with the RAP (retained acc. power) just like the radio has. It keeps power even when switched off - till a door is open or 10 minutes.

I tapped my wire into the ignition fuse. You can also use the brake fuse. It turns the amp on only when in ON position, not in ACC
