I just recently bought my 08 envoy. Was told my vvt solenoid was bad and needed replaced. So I did. The bolt that holds the solenoid on broke off while tightening it down and is now stuck. Not much room to work with even after moving the power steering pump. Any suggestions on how to back that broken bolt out?

A bolt extractor tool is what it sounds like you need, you could also drill it out and retap the hole.

sounds like you over tightened it.

hope you made the replacement using gm original parts, the vvt solenoid after market replacements are known to not be great

Really? I keep hearing ac Delco is the best. I'm not sure. Good news though. I got the bolt backed out of there with no issues. All is good! Thank you for the advice!
