I just installed my new '07-style rear wiper, but I am concerned because there is a gap between the wiper and the rear hatch. The old wiper had a plastic cover that covered the gap between the wiper and the hatch, but with the new one the wiper shaft is exposed. For those of you that have also done the '07 wiper mod, do you have a gap between the wiper and the hatch? Also, can anybody with an '07 or later vehicle tell me if you have this gap as well? I'm thinking about taking off my new wiper and then re-installing it with a rubber washer or something to fill this gap. Has anybody else done anything like this?

Thanks,
Tom

Boot

This morning on my way in to work I walked past an Envoy in the parking lot that has the new style wiper. The Envoy does have the gap that I have, but there was what looked like a little rubber boot in there to keep the moisture out. Does anybody know where I can get this boot? Anybody have a part number? I don't know why they don't include the boot in the rear wiper kit.
