I have some issues with my Trailblazer that a mechanic I know has diagnosed and is going to fix for me. I am trying to locate the parts to get to him for the repairs, but I have some questions.

What is the difference between the 4WD Actuator Housing (Dorman 600-116) and the 4WD Disconnect (ATP 111001)? Is this simply the same part but manufacturers use different names?

Also, my mechanic says that I need the shaft that goes through the oilpan. I'm not sure what it is called. I've been researching online and I see some talk of prop shafts and intermediate shafts but not sure if it's right. I also don't see these parts listed on parts sites.

I'm pretty sure I've found the proper CV Shaft (Cardone 661345) and Actuator (Dorman 600-103) that I need. If someone can help me with the housing and prop shaft questions, I should be in good shape.

Actuator and disconnect are the same thing.
That shaft is called an intermediate or jack shaft.
If you search google for other trailblazer stuff, you might find the forum where most folks go for answers.
Bill.
