Greetings, my '04 TB started running rough while just driving down the highway. The SES light is blinking under acceleration but steady when going down hill. Have had three coils fail on this truck in the past three years or so, each time producing the same symptoms. So off I go to AutoZone to find out which coil has failed this time. "P0305 Cylinder 5 misfire" led me to believe coil 5 was bad so I replaced it with no change. But after I replaced the coil I had the codes read again and I am getting a "P0606 Control Module Internal Performance" code as well as the P0305 code. Am I due for a new ECM? At 181,000 miles that wouldn't surprise me. Should I try the battery-disconnect reset first? Other suggestions?

Yes, a PCMreset is in order for this situation.

A misfire code does not necessaryly mean a coil is bad, there could be a compression issue, plugs wearing out, bad gas, intake manifold air leak, etc.
