When driving at night, the headlights work on bright but when I switch to dim the lights go completely out, but come back on when I switch back to bright. I have tried to turn the headlight switch to on manually instead of automatic and it makes no difference. I am getting ready to dig into this problem and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and could be pointed in the direction to start. Maybe the turn signal/ dimmer switch, or a relay under the hood. Also, strangely enough, in the winter I have no trouble with the lights, they work fine. Just in the warmer weather it does this. I have been dealing with this for a couple years and have done nothing since I don't drive it much at night, but I want to fix it now. I appreciate any help.

Try swapping relays #45 & 46 in the underhood fuse box. If that fixes the headlights, it is the relay that was in the #46 position and now in the #45 position.

Also check fuse #6
